Young fisho wins boat at game comp

LAST weekend's annual Yellowfin Tuna Tournament held at Bermagui on the NSW far south coast attracted over 450 anglers.

The event, staged by the Canberra Game Fishing Club, was well supported by Haines Hunter, Honda Marine, and a host of other sponsors.

For one lucky angler especially, the tournament proved a real winner as he walked away with a Haines Hunter 525 Prowler, valued at $45,000. Josh Hay, 16, of Batemans Bay was the lucky draw prize winner and recipient of the brand new Haines Hunter centre console sportfisher.

"I can’t believe I‘ve just won a boat, I love it,” he said.

Managing Director at Haines Hunter, John Haber congratulated Josh and his family.

"We are very delighted the prize has been won by a junior, It's a nice feeling supporting a great club and event, while at the same time giving something back to the community", Haber said.
