MERCURY Marine recently unveiled its new 150hp four-stroke EFI outboard engine in a world debut at Western Australia's Mandurah Boat Show.
The engine boasts a 3.0-litre, 4-cylinder in-line configuration and has more displacement than any other 150hp four-stroke engine, according to Mercury.
At 206 kgs, Mercury said its new outboard is by far the most compact four-stroke 150hp outboard in the world - only 11kgs heavier than Mercury's OptiMax 150 direct-injected outboard.
Mercury said the new engine is the perfect option for owners wanting to repower their boats, especially older models with transoms not designed to accommodate the weight of conventional four-strokes.
