Hop To It!

FOR me, grasshoppers and trout go hand-in-hand. My first trout fishing experiences involved drifting a little live hopper under a clear bubble float around the famous Hatchery Bay and Curiosity Rocks areas of Lake Jindabyne. These initial forays into trout fishing were fairly unproductive. But to be honest, I didn’t care. As a kid, catching the grasshoppers for bait was as much fun as catching a trout. And when an unlucky brown or rainbow did happen to scoff my offering, it was simply icing on the cake.
